Montchavin La Plagne is one of the most diverse and attractive ski resorts in Europe.
Located at the eastern end of the La Plagne ski lift network, the picturesque village is
ideal for beginners, families and advanced skiers and boarders alike.
From its learner areas to the ever-challenging descents from the top of the Bellecôte
glacier, La Plagne is home to some of the best skiing in the Alps.
But the fun does not stop there.
Its location places Montchavin at the centre of the vast Paradiski area.
This means this atmospheric farming village, arranged around gorgeous wooden
chalets clustered along charming cobbled streets, enjoys a high-speed link to the
Peisey-Vallandry and, beyond, the Les Arcs ski area.
Boasting a total 425km of piste, a 2000m rise in altitude (from 1200m to 3250m) and
diverse freeride terrain, the Paradiski is one of the largest linked ski areas in the Alps.
With stunning panoramic views of Mont Blanc on offer from countless viewpoints, it
is also one of the most breathtaking.
The après-ski options are also rather special.
Alongside the expected bars and restaurants sit an ice rink, a swimming pool and a
cinema that shows films in English every week.
Hiking, dog sledding and skidoo tours can all be arranged within the village.
A weekly shuttle bus to the La Plagne Olympic bobsleigh run also presents guests
staying in Montchavin with a rare opportunity.
Those with a taste for adventure and an inclined towards the unusual can hurtle down
the track for themselves, experiencing the high-speed thrill of bobsleigh first-hand.
